Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Revenue Shield application, website at getrevenueshield.com, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Revenue Shield ("we", "our", or "us"). By installing our Shopify application, creating an agency account, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Revenue Shield runs automated, browser-based tests against your (or your clients') live Shopify checkout flows and alerts you when a checkout appears to be broken or degraded. The Service provides monitoring, evidence (video, traces, screenshots), alerting, and reporting. It is a monitoring and diagnostic tool: it does not modify your storefront, your theme, or your checkout, and it does not guarantee that your checkout will function without interruption.

3. Accounts & Agencies

• Account registration. You must provide accurate information and keep it current. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account.
• Agency accounts. Agencies may link multiple client stores. You represent that you have authorisation from each store you connect to monitor its checkout on its behalf, and that you will maintain appropriate agreements with your clients.
• Store linking. Stores are linked via an agency code or store connection flow. You are responsible for linking only stores you are authorised to monitor.

4. No Access to Order or Customer Personal Data

Revenue Shield's automated tests simulate a shopper reaching checkout; they do not place real orders and do not read your customers' personal or order data. The Service does not request Shopify protected customer data scopes and does not require merchant re-authentication for additional data access. Monitoring is performed against publicly reachable storefront and checkout pages using synthetic test sessions.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to monitor stores you do not own or are not authorised to monitor;
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service;
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its related systems;
• Reverse engineer, resell, or sublicense the Service except as expressly permitted;
• Use the Service to violate any applicable law or any third party's rights.

6. Billing & Plans

Paid plans are billed through Shopify Managed Pricing or the billing method presented at sign-up. Charges recur on the interval shown at purchase until cancelled. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable. We may change pricing on prospective renewal terms with reasonable notice. You are responsible for any taxes associated with your use of the Service.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, and content (excluding your data and your clients' storefront content), is owned by Revenue Shield and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. Reports you generate may be white-labelled for use with your clients; the underlying platform remains ours.

8. Your Data

You retain ownership of the data you provide. You grant us a licence to process it to operate and improve the Service. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third parties (e.g., Shopify, cloud hosting, email and messaging providers). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will detect every checkout issue. Monitoring results and estimates (including any revenue-at-risk figures) are indicative, not guarantees.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Revenue Shield will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the amounts you paid us for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service and uninstall the app at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
